Early Student Pick-Ups: Moving forward, if you need to pick up a student early please utilize the following procedures:
● If it is before 2:00 PM, park in the Visitors’ Parking Lot at the Main Entrance where the doorbell is located. The buses will begin to line up at 2:00 PM.
● If it is after 2:00 PM, you may park in the GHS student parking lot temporarily and walk over to
the building along the crosswalk. This will ensure that you are not in the bus loop traffic.
Don’t forget that you need to bring your driver's license or photo ID in order to pick up your student.
Reminder: Students this is a reminder to bring your Chromebook and charger with you to school daily.
Parents/Guardians this is a reminder that if you would like to bring food or beverages (Starbucks, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, etc.) for your student to bring it only during your student's lunch block. The Main Office will not accept these items outside of the student's scheduled lunch blocks.
Activity Bus: There is a slight change in the pick-up location for the evening activity bus. They will pick-up on the same side of the building but at the end closest to the trailers by the art rooms/chef. Students will exit out those C-hall doors (same as going to the trailers). Do not exit the doors by the Duke Rock to keep students away from the barriers and construction zone.
Parents & Students: As we get ready to start our Spring Athletic Season this is an important reminder that sportsmanship is a top priority of GCPS & the Virginia High School League. When attending any games either home or away we ask that you always show proper respect and sportsmanship for officials, players, and fans both on and off the field. Any inappropriate actions in the stands or on the playing field cannot be tolerated. Such actions can lead to removal from games, and being prohibited from attending the remainder of the season. Please help us enjoy another successful season by always showing extraordinary sportsmanship.
SENIORS: If you need mid-year transcripts sent to colleges you MUST request this in Naviance. Please make sure you request MID-YEAR transcripts in the drop-down.
