The GHS-NAACP will meet next Wednesday, April 26th, from 2:45-3:45 in Mrs. Carter's room D21. We'll discuss Change for Change, T-shirt designs, donuts, and other good end of the year stuff. It'll be fun!

Early Student Pick-Ups: Moving forward, if you need to pick up a student early please utilize the
following procedures:
● If it is before 2:00 PM, park in the Visitors’ Parking Lot at the Main Entrance where the doorbell is located. The buses will begin to line up at 2:00 PM.
● If it is after 2:00 PM, you may park in the GHS student parking lot temporarily and walk over to
the building along the crosswalk. This will ensure that you are not in the bus loop traffic.

Don’t forget that you need to bring your driver's license or photo ID in order to pick up your student.

Parents/Guardians this is a reminder that if you would like to bring food or beverages (Starbucks, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and etc.) for your student to bring it only during your students' lunch block. The
Main Office will not accept these items outside of the students scheduled lunch blocks.
Dukes’ Dispatch: The journalism students are proud to announce a new edition of the student
newspaper, Dukes’ Dispatch! Click on the link here https://ghsdukesdispatch.org/ to view the website. Don’t forget to bookmark the site and check back every two weeks for new stories and updates on events at GHS. In addition, the Dukes’ Dispatch is currently accepting student story submissions, club and activity announcements and story ideas and leads. Please submit stories, announcements and ideas to [email protected]. Thank you very much for your support!

Yearbooks: The last day to pre-order a 2022-2023 yearbook is 4/30 through
https://www.yearbookordercente... using code 4758. There are less than 100 copies left and the book sold out last year, so make sure to order before it’s too late! Contact Lauren Leszczynski, the yearbook advisor with any additional questions.

Parking Passes: Parking passes have now been reduced for the 2022-2023 school year and are on sale for $25. Parking passes can be purchased in the Gloucester High School Main Office by using cash, check, or money order made out to Gloucester High School. Applications can be found on the Gloucester High School website or in the Gloucester High School Main Office, and must be completely filled out. Students will be able to choose a numbered parking space on a first-come, first-serve basis until all parking spots are sold for the 2022-2023 school year.

Visit the BayPort Credit Union site in C-hall to deposit $5 into your account, or open an account and be entered to win $25! One entry per person. We are open Mondays and Wednesdays.

Athletics:
Parents/Guardians & Students: this is another important reminder that sportsmanship is a top priority of GCPS & the Virginia High School League. When attending any games either home or away we ask that you always show proper respect and sportsmanship for officials, players and fans, both on and off the field. Any inappropriate actions in the stands cannot be tolerated. Such actions will lead to removal from games, and being banned from attending any future events. Please help us enjoy another successful season by showing extraordinary sportsmanship at all times.

Parents/Guardians & Community members: when arriving at GHS for an athletic or activity event please park in designated spaces only. Do not block other cars in or park in front of auto shop bays. It is important that we keep all roadways clear for emergencies and for cars or buses trying to get around the loop. Please do not drive the wrong direction in the loop. When picking students up please do not block traffic at the main entrance.
