Senior Make-up and Retake pictures will be on Monday, November 13th in the back of the Auditorium starting at 7:45 a.m. Lifetouch will only be completing tux and drape make-ups and retakes on that day. Please bring a tank top for the drape pictures or a plain t-shirt for the tux picture. This will be the final day for Senior pictures to be completed.

Parents/guardians: Students received the Impact Aid Survey Form (formerly known as Federal Card). All students must return this form completed and signed by a parent or guardian no later than Friday, November 17th. Extra copies can be picked up in the GHS Main Office.

Congratulations to the GHS One Act Play team, who finished 6th in the super-regional competition, and to Isa Ferguson for winning an outstanding actor award!

Lost and Found: students this is a reminder to check daily for any lost items. Please see the Main Office for the location.

Parents/Guardians this is a reminder that GHS is not an open campus. Students are not permitted to leave campus to get lunch. If students are caught leaving campus without permission disciplinary action will occur.

GHS is collecting new and gently used toys for Toys 4 Tots from now until December 8th. Please bring your donations to the GHS Main Office.

Food Delivery Services: DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, and any other food delivery services are not permitted on campus during or after school.

Parents/Guardians this is a reminder to set up a School Cash Online account for your student(s). School Cash Online is the payment site to purchase any and all of your students fees, field trips, activities, and more. Please set up an account for your student today! A link can be found on the GHS website as well as the GCPS website.

Student illness: Please see this note from our school nurses about policies and procedures for when students are sick.

Yearbooks are now for sale online at yearbookordercenter.com using code 4758. The book sold out the past 2 years so order before it’s too late!

Parent Drop-off: Traffic will flow in the opposite direction from last school year. Parents who are
dropping students off in the morning or picking them up in the afternoon will use the second entrance if coming from Route 17, or the third entrance if coming from T.C. Walker Rd. Students may enter in the morning and exit at dismissal through the C-Hall doors near the Art and Culinary classes or may report directly to their first block class if it is in one of the portables.

Bus Notes: Bus notes should be turned in to the Main Office at the beginning of the school day.
Activity Bus: The activity bus is now running, north and south bound and departs GHS at 5:45 pm Monday thru Thursday. Go to the GHS website or the Main Office for the drop-off locations.

My School Bucks: Parents/Guardians if you would like to add money to your students lunch account, you can find the link for My School Bucks on the GCPS website under Food Services.

Counseling:
In December and January, school counselors will meet individually with juniors and do course requests for next year. Counselors will also go over what juniors need to do to start planning for after high school. If you want to be part of that meeting please email your child’s school counselor and arrange an appointment for December or January. School counselor's emails are on the GHS website and in student Canvas accounts.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: An admissions representative from Bridgewater College will be
conducting an information session here at the high school for interested GHS Juniors and Seniors on Wednesday, November 15th. To participate, please sign up through your Naviance account. E-hall passes will be sent to those that sign up. Please see the Counseling Office if you have any questions.

Athletics:
Congratulations to the GHS field hockey team, who finished a fantastic season as regional champions and state runners-up!

Congratulations to the GHS boys volleyball team, who finished a great season as regional runners-up and state quarterfinalists!

Congratulations to all of the runners who competed at the state cross country meet! The boys team finished 10th in the state. Rylan Allcorn was the top finisher for the boys team and Mya Baker was the top finisher for the girls team.

Fall Athletes and Families, the Fall Sports Awards night will be Wednesday, November 15th at 7 pm in the Auditorium, please bring a dessert to share.

There will be a GHS Lady Dukes Soccer interest meeting on November 13th in the Dukes Café at 3:15. Please plan on attending if you are interested in trying out for the Ladies' Soccer teams this coming season.

Winter sports seasons have begun. A full list of dates, times, and locations is located on the GHS website. Coaches' emails are also listed on the GHS Website under athletics.

Ticket Prices: Peninsula District athletic event ticket prices are increasing this year for the sporting events that charge. Students and Adults are $7 each, children 6-12, and senior citizens are $5 each. This is for all home and away events. The athletic department will have season passes available for each season at a discounted rate.
