Dear GHS Staff, Parents, and Guardians,
I am writing to inform you of an incident that occurred earlier today at Gloucester High School. At approximately 11:05 AM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) initiated a lockdown in response to a report of a weapon on school grounds.
I want to reassure you that the situation is under control, and the individual(s) involved have been detained. The school is currently in secure mode, and all students and staff are safe.
While the immediate threat has been addressed, we are actively working with law enforcement to gather more information about the incident. Your child's safety remains our top priority, and we will continue to keep you informed as we receive further updates.
