Good Afternoon Gloucester Dukes,
This is Dr. Mygas reaching out as a follow-up to Dr. Vladu's announcement earlier today about my new position as Director of Secondary Instruction. I am excited about this new role, and looking forward to continuing to serve the Gloucester community by working with the staff, students, and families at GHS, Page, and Peasley.
I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for your support, collaboration, and hard work during my time as principal. Over the past four years, we have worked together to overcome challenges and make GHS the best school it can be for our students. And we have many accomplishments to be proud of: We have strengthened and expanded our academic programs; our athletics, arts, and student organizations have seen phenomenal success and won numerous awards and accolades; and, most importantly, we have focused on creating a more positive school culture and making GHS a place where everyone feels welcomed, included, and valued.
Our success has been possible because of the strong partnership between our staff, students, families, and community members, and I am incredibly grateful for being part of this amazing school community. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to have served as your principal, and I look forward to continuing our work together.
In my new role, I will be working closely with the new principal, Mr. Brayboy, and I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition process.
