Congratulations to the Scholastic Bowl team on their two wins on Wednesday, January 11th. The final scores were Gloucester 175, Bethel 90 and Gloucester 170, Denbigh 90.

Charlie Somervell III 4th chair symphonic band (Trombone)

Joshua Mayer 2nd chair concert band (Tuba)
Lauren King 6th chair concert band (Percussion)
Victoria King and Julie Trist also qualified to audition for the all state band in February!

Congratulations to the GHS Indoor Track and Field team on their meet Wednesday, January 11th. 60 athletes competed with 57 having personal records and season best. A special congratulations goes out to the throwing group who all had PR's. Go Dukes!!

Closed: We will be closed on Monday, January 16th for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday for all students and staff.

Attendance Recovery will be held in the library on Thursday, January 19th, from 3:00 - 5:30 pm. Please sign-up through Canvas or the GHS Homepage link starting Monday, January 16th until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18th in order to attend.

Attendance waivers will be available on the GHS Homepage link and Main Office starting Tuesday, January 17th until Wednesday, January 25th.

The GHS-NAACP will meet Wednesday, January 18th, 2:45-3:45 in Mrs. Carter's D21. All are welcome as we plan for 2023!

Attention winter and spring athletes: This is a reminder that this current semester determines eligibility for your sports. You must pass the required number of classes to participate. Spring athletes must also have a 2.0 GPA. All eligibility rules are posted on the GHS website under Athletics and in Canvas. If you have questions please see your coach, counselor or Athletic Director Ms. Hunter.

Calendar update: The Gloucester County School Board recently approved an updated school calendar. The last day of the first semester is now Wednesday, January 25. This will be a full day of school, as the School Board has also eliminated final exams. Please visit the GCPS website to view the new calendar.

Visit the BayPort Credit Union site in c-hall to deposit $5 into your account, or open an account and be entered to win $25! One entry per person. We are open Mondays and Wednesdays.

Dukes’ Dispatch: The first semester journalism students are proud to announce a new edition of the student newspaper, Dukes’ Dispatch! Yearbooks: Yearbooks are now for sale through https://www.yearbookordercente... using code 4758. The current price is $50. There will be a price increase to $55 on 1/4/23. Senior ads are also available through the order center until 3/1/23. The yearbook sold out last year, so make sure to order before it’s too late! Contact Lauren Leszczynski, the yearbook advisor with any additional questions.

Parking Passes: Parking passes for the 2022-2023 school year are on sale now and can be purchased in the Gloucester High School Main Office. The cost for a parking pass is $52 dollars, via online thru School Cash Online site, cash, check, or money order made out to Gloucester High School. Please go to the Gloucester High School website to print out and complete the 2022-2023 Student parking pass application prior to coming into the Main Office to purchase your parking pass. If you purchase your pass using the School cash online site, make sure to bring in proof of the receipt, along with the completed 2022-2023 Student parking pass application. Students will be able to choose a numbered parking space
on a first-come, first-serve basis until all parking spots are sold for the 2022-2023 school year.
