Everybody at Westfield High School thinks they know what happened the day of the fire. Fire Exit opens in the aftermath, as the community faces what appears to be a prank gone terribly wrong. But as the kids and adults open up about their lives and the bigger picture of the day's events emerges, the truth proves to be far less simple. The GHS theatre department will present this poignant one act Saturday, November 1, at 3PM, before heading to regional competition. Tickets are $5.

On October 24th, six students from Gloucester High School went to RCC to complete in a math contest again two other schools.  Gloucester placed first place for their overall score.  Catherine King received first place, Bryson Johnson received second place, and Caleb Collett received third place. #GoDukes

🌟 All Pro Dad’s Breakfast Recap – October 22, 2025
On October 22nd, our school hosted a wonderful All Pro Dad’s Breakfast, bringing together fathers, father figures, and students for a morning of connection, encouragement, and community. The All Pro Dad program celebrates fathers and the important role they play in shaping their children’s futures.

It was inspiring to see so many dads and kids start their day together—sharing smiles, stories, and meaningful conversations. Events like these remind us how vital family involvement is to student success and well-being.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and next week we’re saying “Boo to Bullying!”
Join us each day for Boo to Bullying Spirit Week as we take a stand for kindness, inclusion, and respect — and have a little fun while doing it!

💀 Character Counts: Represent your favorite characters using colors, shirts, accessories. ABSOLUTELY NO COSTUMES.

Held during the third full week of October, National School Bus Safety Week is a time for communities across the country to come together in support of safe student transportation.

This nationwide initiative raises awareness about the importance of school bus safety and encourages parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, and school administrators to work together to keep our roads and bus stops safe for all.

Dear GCPS Families and Staff, Our road assessment team has determined that several areas of Gloucester County are inaccessible this morning due to flooding. The king tides and nor’easter have exceeded predictions, resulting in higher-than-expected water levels across the county. Because of these conditions, Gloucester County Public Schools will be closed today (Monday, October 13th). Afternoon tides are expected to be higher than this morning, and our teams will continue to monitor reports and road conditions throughout the day. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we respond to these changing conditions.

WEATHER UPDATE – MONDAY MORNING (2-Hour Delay). The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Due to impending coastal flooding from the nor’easter, Gloucester County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Monday morning. • Flood Warning: Water is expected to be over some roadways, particularly in low-lying areas. • Safety Assessment: County and school division crews need additional time to assess road conditions and ensure safe travel for buses and staff. • Weather Conditions: Persistent onshore winds may continue to cause minor to moderate tidal flooding through the morning. We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day and provide updates as needed. Please allow extra travel time and avoid flooded areas whenever possible. Stay safe!

Gloucester County Public Schools is proud to announce the grand ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Gloucester High School on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

The first ceremony will take place in the morning from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This event will bring together School Board members, members of the Board of Supervisors, county administration and staff, state and federal officials representing Gloucester County, as well as leaders from Moseley Architects and Gresham Construction, whose partnership helped make the renovation possible.

The evening ceremony, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will welcome families, students, alumni, residents, and community partners for a celebration open to all. Guests will be able to take part in self-guided and guided building tours, view Career and Technical Education and program displays, browse spirit gear and Booster Club tables, and explore a “before and after” renovation gallery. The evening will also include student music performances, remarks from the Superintendent, and light refreshments.

This day long celebration will both recognize the many people and partners who made the project a reality and provide the community with the opportunity to walk the halls of their high school, experiencing the improvements designed to serve current and future generations of students.
