Congratulations to the ESports Mario Kart Team for earning the title of VHSL ESports State Champions this past Saturday at ODU. Lane Briggs, Jason Hancock, Logan Williams, Paul Trotman, Erik Waters, and Luis Seda set a new school record for the team by earning this achievement. They are also the first team to earn the title of State Champions in Mario Kart under VHSL as a fully sanctioned ESport activity. The team will be advancing to National playoffs in May.

DARS and RCC are offering free 4-day summer camps for Welding and Culinary!!
Attendees: students with disabilities (14-21) who are connected with DARS
Dates: June 22-25, 2026
Time: 9am-12:30pm
Awards: 6/25/26 at 11:30am
Transportation: provided from GHS to RCC and back
Dress Code for each camp:
Culinary Students' Dress Code:
a shirt that covers collar bones, shoulders, and upper arms, with no cuts/holes, and the shirt length must reach the hips
long pants
non-skid closed shoes (tennis shoes are appropriate) (no Crocs) with socks on
Please refrain from wearing jewelry (especially dangling necklaces/earrings) and nail polish. Rings and nail polish must be covered with gloves at all times
Welding Students' Dress Code (Boots will be provided!) :
Long pants (Jeans, Cotton, or Wool)
Long Sleeve Shirts (Cotton or Wool)
Other PPE for Welding will be provided on the 1st day of class (Lab Jacket, Eye Shields, Boots)
