The National Honor Society hosted an appreciation lunch for our hardworking substitute teachers. Subs for Subs was a huge success, and we love our GHS subs!

Carrying on the Tradition!
Despite not having a kitchen due to renovations, the GHS Life Skills students carried on their annual Friendsgiving tradition. This year the students were challenged to find traditional Thanksgiving recipes that could be made in a crockpot or microwave. They made grocery lists, shopped, cooked, and set tables for the modified event. Chef Winchester and his culinary students prepared the turkey, and a delicious meal was enjoyed by all! #CreativityInAction #GoDukes #GHSLifeSkills

Congratulations to Natalie Vickers, who represented RCC in the Primis Bank Women in STEM Competition on Tuesday, November 12. Natalie’s team earned second place in the competition, where they analyzed real banking data and developed an AI-based solution to detect bank fraud. As a result of her outstanding contribution, Natalie will receive a $250 scholarship from Primis Bank. We are incredibly proud of Natalie’s dedication; she spent the past few weeks meeting with her teammates via Zoom in the evenings to prepare for this event.

A day at the art museum! 🎨 For about a third of our Art History, AP Studio Art, and National Art Honor Society students, led by their teacher Mrs. Amy Bergh, this was their first-ever museum visit. One student summed it up perfectly: 'It’s amazing that this art was actually made by people we’ve been studying!' Moments like these truly make art come to life. 🖼️ #ArtInAction #MuseumTrip #GoDukes #ChryslerMuseum
